Curriculum
Born in 1983, he graduated with highest honors in piano at the G. Verdi Conservatory in Milan in the class of M° Cristina Carini, M° Paolo Bordoni and M° Silvia Rumi. He received his advanced diploma in piano at the Music Academy of Florence with Maestro Pier Narciso Masi and attended numerous piano and chamber music master classes held by prestigious teachers such as Aldo Ciccolini, Karl Leister, Michele Sherepan, and Ilya Poletaev.
He also graduated with honors in philosophy from the State University of Milan and graduated in choir conducting and choral composition with highest honors from the A. Steffani Conservatory of Castelfranco Veneto in the class of M° Marco Berrini.
He trained as a choral conductor at the Milano Choral Academy directed by M° Marco Berrini and obtained his Master's degree in choral conducting at the Scuola superiore per direttori di coro in Arezzo, under the guide of internationally renowned teachers such as Peter Broadbent, Javier Busto, Nicole Corti, Lorenzo Donati, Gary Graden, Luigi Marzola and Ragnar Rasmussen. He was selected as an active participant in the 9th European Academy for Choir Conductors, an international masterclass for professional conductors held by Nicole Corti in Fano. He also studied Renaissance polyphony with M° Diego Fratelli at the Civica Scuola di Musica Claudio Abbado in Milan.
First prize winner at the Romano Gandolfi International Competition for Choral Conductors in Parma and second prize winner at the National Competition for Choral Conductors "Le mani in suono" in Arezzo, he was also awarded several prizes as best conductor in national and international choral competitions. He has won first and second prizes in the same competitions (National Choral Competition "City of Vittorio Veneto," National Choral Competition "Guido d'Arezzo," International Choral Competition "Seghizzi" of Gorizia, International Choral Competition of Sacred Music of Bobbio, National Choral Competition "Città di Fermo," National Choral Competition of Lago Maggiore, National Choral Competition " Città di Lainate," National Choral Competition "Canticum Cordis" of Veruno") conducting choral ensembles including the Ensemble Vocale Mousiké (youth choir founded in 2009 and directed from 2009 to 2019) and the Torino Vocalensemble (winner of the national auditions for the position of artistic director, held from 2014 to 2017). With these choirs he has also participated in important national and international music festivals (MITO Settembre Musica, International Festival "VOCE", International Choral Festival "Città dei Gremi" in Sassari). He has also won first and second prizes in national and international piano competitions, both as a soloist and chamber musician (Third Prize at the International Competition "Città di Racconigi," First Prize at the National Competition "Città di Piombino," Second Prize at the International Chamber Music Competition in Cervo).
He is currently artistic director and founder of the professional choir Zephyrus and conducts the polyphonic choir Regina del Rosario in Arcore and the polyphonic choir Le Dissonanze in Monza, collaborating with the Orchestra Milano Classica to conduct concerts of baroque and romantic repertoire.
He collaborates as choirmaster with the Milan professional ensemble LaBarocca, preparing several productions for the Milan Auditorium Music Season, Milan Cathedral and the MITO Settempre Musica festival (Bach's Christmas Oratorio and Mass in B Minor, Handel's Messiah). He also collaborated as maestro with the Choir of the Milan Symphony Orchestra for several performances of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony conducted by Claus Peter Flor and with the professional choir Ars Cantica of Milan holding the position of choirmaster for the Stresa Festival (Stravinsky's Les Noces), the Monreale Early Music Festival with the Orchestra Sinfonica Siciliana (Bach's Magnificat and Vivaldi's Gloria) and the Teatro Goldoni season in Livorno with the Orchestra Filarmonica Marchigiana (Handel's Messiah).
He has sung and conducted in the Vocal Ensemble Rosa dei Venti, participating in important festivals and concert seasons (Teatro la Fenice in Venice, Teatro Stabile Sloveno in Trieste, International Festival "Città di Fano," International Festival "Voce") and in the vocal quintet Aletheia consort specializing in early music. He is also invited as a guest conductor for seminars and concerts throughout the country, including collaboration with orchestras.
She has taken several singing and vocal courses with internationally renowned teachers such as Colin Baldy, Marco Scavazza, Lia Serafini, Sara Mingardo, Roberta Invernizzi, Dan Shen, Fulvio Bettini and has studied functional vocality according to the Lichtenberg Method with Monica Scifo. She collaborates as a singer with several professional ensembles and formations including Il Canto di Orfeo, LaBarocca, Ars Cantica Choir, Gesualdo Consort of Gesualdo and Ensemble Vocale UT, working with conductors such as Gianandrea Noseda, Giovanni Antonini, Gianluca Capuano, Ruben Jais. With Il canto di Orfeo, he recently took part in a tour together with Cecilia Bartoli and the Les Musicien du Prince Orchestra of Monte Carlo conducted by Gianluca Capuano, singing in the major European theaters (KKL in Lucerne, Fondation Pierre Gianadda in Martigny, Tonhalle in Zurich, Philharmonie in Paris, Opera Royal in Liege, Philharmonie in Luxembourg, ELB Philharmonie in Hamburg, Isar Philharmonie in Munich)
He was selected through auditions as a principal chorister in the Italian Youth Choir from 2012 to 2014, participating in major international festivals and winning the International Choral Competition in Tours (France). With this choral group, he was also selected to sing with the Rolling Stones at the Circus Maximus in Rome.
He has intense activity as a teacher of choir conducting and choral exercises in masterclasses and training courses for conductors and choristers on the whole national territory (For USCI Brescia, USCI Lombardia, ASAC Veneto, USCI Friuli Venezia Giulia, ARCOM Marche). He has taught choral conducting in prestigious academies including the Milano Choral Academy, the Arezzo School for Choral Conductors (Fondazione Guido d'Arezzo) and the Piergiorgio Righele Academy for ASAC Veneto.
He was also one of the teachers of the national choral training project for choir conductors, Coro Lab, created by FENIARCO, and teacher and conductor of the Val d'Aosta Youth Choir (Arcova Vocal Ensemble) during two editions of the European Seminar for Young Composers in Aosta.
He is a teacher of piano, choral conducting, choral practice and vocal training at several music schools in the province of Monza and Brianza.
He has made some recordings of choral repertoire as a singer for GLOSSA and NAXOS and made some recordings as a choir director.
He is invited to participate as a juror in national and international choral and composition competitions.
