Curriculum

Born in 1983, Luca obtained a master’s degree, summa cum laude, in piano performance at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan under the direction of Cristina Carini, Paolo Bordoni and Silvia Rumi. In 2009 he received a specialization diploma in piano at the Musical Academy of Florence under the direction of Pier Narciso Masiand took part in several piano and chamber music courses and master classes with worldwide famous maestros.
As a pianist, he got several first and second prizes in national and international competitions.
In addition, he obtained a degree, summa cum laude, in philosophy at the State University of Milan.
He attended a 3-year programme at the Milan Choral Academy, getting a diploma in choral conducting under the direction of Marco Berrini. He got a master’s diploma in choral conducting at the Scuola Superiore for Choral Conduction in Arezzo under the direction of Nicole Corti, Ragnar Rasmussen, Lorenzo Donati and Luigi Marzola. In addition, he won the “Best Choral Conductor Award” at the City of Fermo National Choral Competition and second prize at the first "Le mani in suono" National Choral Conducting Competition in Arezzo.
Luca conducts various choral ensembles, among which Ensemble Vocale Mousiké and the Torino Vocal Ensemble. With them he got several first and second prizes at national and international competitions and took part in important national and international festivals. He also conducts the Regina del Rosario Parish Choir in Arcore and Le Dissonanze Choir in Monza. He is the assistant conductor of the professional ensemble ArsCantica Choir, with which he worked as choirmaster at the Stresa Festival and at the Ancient Music Festival in Monreale. He is also invited as a guest director for choral collaborations in Italy.
As a singer, Luca attended singing and vocality courses with maestros such as Colin Baldy, Marco Scavazza, Lia Serafini and Monica Scifo. He collaborated with the professional ensembles Ars Cantica Choir, Il Canto di Orfeo, GesualdoConsort of Gesualdo, UT, La Rosa dei Venti and the Italian Youth Choir.
He teaches piano and choral conducting in several music schools, conducting techniques at the Milano Choral Academy and he also teaches in seminars and courses. He is called as a jury at national and international piano and singing competitions.
